What goes wrong? I have not tested it.

Yes, I also think there is a wishlist bug against imp3 for this. The
problem however is that such a upgrade path is not very easy to perform.
It is quite easy to have a broken database at the end and that is not
a good thing.

That is the reason why I have decided to make a new package (imp3 instead
of imp) and not to make an upgrade path.

imp3 is very different from imp2 and they share very little code.
