I see. And packages@qa.debian.org is an alias for
debian-qa-packages@l.d.o

single point of failure? ;-)

Afaik there are at least three different policies implemented by
different admin teams.
- lists.d.o. - Runs on murphy/postfix (probably some fancy regexes
  that reject at smtp time)
- alioth: exim4
- *.d.o (master, gluck, etc.) exim3

And this problem only happens if stuff is forwarded (by aliases or
.forward)
