Not really. The vocabulary is also different in some ways. While we are
also speaking Mandarin in Taiwan, some terms differ from the ones on
the mainland, especially modern terms, which have been developed after
the cultural revolution on the mainland.
My favorite would be to drop the ISO list and use the traditional
Unix/Linux way of differing languages:
- Simplefied Chinese
- Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)
- Traditional Chinese (Taiwan)
I assume if you would ask chinese speaking people from Singapore or
Malaysia, they would use also different terms from mainland china and
thus needed an additional entry... :)
