I outlined what I felt were the necessary steps over a month ago in Bug#241689, and haven't seen any feedback from that. I'm not trying to block anything, the pure-amd64 architecture looks pretty necessary (though nobody's donated me a machine yet *sniff* <g>) but you can't just hope that all the required tools will get the support you need at once. Scott -- Have you ever, ever felt like this? Had strange things happen? Are you going round the twist?
