Well, not yet... I just had a look in the "Duden", and it seems like there 
are two meanings of the word.

1. A measuring device, shaped like a forceps
2. In Austria, this is indeed a peg -- and in Bavaria, they call it
   "Klupperl" (which also means "finger" there... oh boy)

BTW, I also have never heard of "Kluppe".
