init script output vanished
Hi DDs!
For a few days the init script messages of many programs have just
disappeared:
-------------------------------------------------------------
[Everything is allright up to here]
Configuring network interfaces...eth0: Setting full-duplex based on MII #8 link partner capability of 45e1.
done.
Loading the saved-state of the serial devices...
Setting up general console font... done.
Setting the System Clock using the Hardware Clock as reference...
System Clock set. Local time: Thu Apr 1 19:52:34 CEST 2004

At the [XXXX] marked position /etc/rcS.d/S70xfree86-common has obviously been
executed. Then only S75sudo is left in /etc/rcS.d/. But then, no init script
linked from /etc/rc2.d/ brings any output (alsa, postgresql, inetd, samba, xdm,
etc. pp). However, there is a huge delay with hd access and the services start
and run correctly.
Does this happen only at my box or also at someone else's?
Thanks for any hints and have a nice day!
Martin
