Maybe you can offer to specifically include Debian in the version string. This seems to be what keeps other people happy. I'm not sure which icons these include, but if they're large, you could also offer putting a little swirl in the corner. After all, they'd probably be willing to have firefox in Debian, too. (Or you could just approach the mozilla icon to come up with a better icon, after all, he got talked into becoming the mozilla icon guy before, why not become the mozilla debian icon guy as well...)
