Should add to this list that pth appears to be completely broken on ia64
(both 1.4.1 and 2.0.0 versions).  The package compiles but fails it's
own self-tests (make test, which is not part of it's build process).
This results in any application that uses pth blowing up on execution.
There are two bugs against pth for this #225780 and #208583, the pth
maintainer has yet to respond to either of them.

From his reply in a different bug, the maintainer is apparently very busy with moving and stuff. He estimated that he would be unable to make any uploads until February.

So someone else needs to track down, fix, and NMU this. And any other bugs you care about in Luis Bustamante's packages. :-)
