I don't know how it compares to ddclient or others, but..
I've got an outstanding ITP (# 156594) for noip-updater (see also
http://karl.jorgensen.com/noip-updater).
Unfortunately, since the ITP, a new version no noip-updater is available
from no-ip.{org,com}, which I'm having great problems packaging: the
main obstacle is that it wants its configuration file to be binary -
something that I truly abhor.
I don't feel any ownership of the ITP though; as far as I'm concerned,
it's first-come first-served. If you can make progress with the newer
version (downloadable from no-ip.com) and upload that, I would have no
objections.
PS: Apologies if I have missed any messages in this thread; my list mail
is only picked up during weekends...
