I'm happy to clarify my position if you aren't clear on it and would
rather you do that then make misleading claims.  I don't know how NMUers
could be *more* accountable than the official maintainer.  My position
is that they should be equally responsible for bugs in the package,
until the maintainer does an upload. 

This also isn't to say they have to be able to fix every bug in the
package but like the maintainer they need to try and tag it help, etc.
Additionally, any DD should also have the ability to request a package 
be removed or orphaned to QA if it's clearly not being maintained.  The
same goes for hijacking packages but I think most understand that
already.
