Debian has users, developers, and a security team who like to apply patches to packages and build debs, and so *all* packages in Debian, even arch: all packages, are rebuilt from source from time to time, and failure to do so is a bug that maintainers should be quick to fix. Webmin's maintainer should consider what would happen to his package if a security hole were found in it and the security team could not manage to build it from source, or built something that was not at all like what had been shipped before. -- see shy jo
