This package provides a helper library that makes it easier to develop
programms that add Cancel Lock headers to Usenet postings. This library
is statically, so only a -dev-package will be created. This library can
enhance existing programms in debian as slrn.

Cancel Lock headers give the possibility to only allow the original
author (or his newsmaster) to cancel articles the traditional way - but
of course as always it's the newsmasters decision if he uses this
feature on his server.
