 Care to give more details?  Which printer?  How was it connected?  How
 did you try to setup CUPS?

 Even if I don't think the CUPS documentation is superb, for the setups
 I have had to deal with (anything but trivial) it was adequate, and the
 only thing I really that to read about what the IPP name service
 conventions.
