Debian is also best choice for a large number of unified working places
(aka desktops) in a heterogenous environment.  (Though those people 
shouting 'desktop' seem to try hard to get it worse).

262 distinct users here with 13 installations.
and in the near environment a pool with about 30-40 installations
and over 800 users. (And some smaller with about 20 installations
and 40 to 50 users)
