Default menu entries are deprecated
Hello Debian developers,
The current menu package include default entries for some packages
in /usr/{lib,share}/menu/default.
This was mean as as transitionnal measure before the wide acceptance of the
menu system. This is deprecated and these entries will be removed in the
future. Menu entry in /usr/lib/menu override them.
However the following packages have only a default entry, they are:
amd
ash
bash
csh
doc++
gclinfo
gdb
gpm
hello
lilo
octave
povray
xftp
so these packages need a menu entry. They can pick up the default, write a new
one, or just decide they don't need a menu entry. (Some of the default menu
entry are bogus.)
If you upload one of these package with a menu entry or decide it does not
need it, please mail me (ballombe@debian.org) so that I can keep count
before starting to send wishlist bugs.
Cheers,
