SE Linux is one of several security technologies supported by Debian for 
making this root requirement no big deal.

I would be happy to assist in setting up a SE Debian machine for pbuilder use, 
and I'm sure that the maintainers of the other security systems would be 
equally happy to setup their security software for such use.
