hey all, i've seen what seems to be conflicting information about the status of sending attachments with reportbug. does this work? i sent a patch via reportbug yesterday and haven't gotten any kind of confirmation, and the web page doesn't show that i've submitted the report at all. running reportbug on a woody box gives me a warning that attachments aren't supported: NOTE: MANY MUAs WILL ATTEMPT TO SEND MIME-ENCODED MESSAGES TO THE DEBIAN BTS. THE DEBIAN BTS CURRENTLY HAS BUGS IN ITS HANDLING OF MIME (SEE #36813 et al.). YOU SHOULD NOT USE MIME ATTACHMENTS IN YOUR REPORT. though i don't get this on a box running testing/unstable, and the bug page shows it being closed and re-opened several times... otoh, i submitted another bug earlier with small patch attachment that did go through and does show up on the page. do i have any way of knowing if there was a problem with the more recent bug/patch submit that i did? sean
