It *does* use autoconf, but not automake, see
<http://sapdb.2scale.net/moin.cgi/AutoConf>. Neither does it use a
normal make, but its own "vmake" which isn't all that bad -
<http://sapdb.2scale.net/moin.cgi/VmakeCritique> - it just needs some
getting used to.
