The (supposed) dpkg bug underlying it could have been fixed, I suppose. 

Christian and I corresponded about it for a while, and there really is
no way of getting around it, it seems. The binary gnome_segv2 is both
compiled with libgnomeui-0 and called by it, and so it's a two-way
dependency.
