That won't automatically transition users from dhid to dhis-client,
unfortunately. (Long-desired dpkg feature which I guess is now a
long-desired apt feature?)
Best suggestion is to build a second package in debian/{control,rules}
which explains that it is a dummy package in the description and installs
no files except those required by policy.
Or get dselect, deity, aptitude, and apt-get dist-upgrade to automatically
upgrade conflicts/provides/replaces packages to the new name. ;)
