Hm, that is quite contradicting to the post that I made about at the
same time. I had the experience that many people do like submissions
like that, after all, they're not maintaining them, and they only need
to be kept up-to-date in the CVS. If they don't like the hassle with the
release, they just leave them out of the official tarball and just link
to the pre-made packages instead.
