what created /.memdump ?
On two Debian "testing" systems, there is a file /.memdump. It
appears to be a libxml memory debugging file[1]. Its contents on
one system is
01:51:34 AM
MEMORY ALLOCATED : 0, MAX was 0
BLOCK NUMBER SIZE TYPE
The other is similar. On the system upgraded more frequently, it is
dated April 22; on the other, April 24.
I have no idea how to track down in retrospect which package did
this, and I didn't get any search hits or google or the Debian lists
search. Does anyone recognize the problem? If not, maybe we can
keep an eye out for it on future upgrades.
Hopefully, we can find the guilty party, correct the package--and
make sure that it cleans up the mess!
Thanks,
Andrew
