I hate getting into this but...

SO is generally accepted as meaning "Significant Other" which is more
"politically correct" than "Other Half" and much less
connotation-forming than "partner" which is often thought of as
homosexual partner even though it isn't that at all.

Best choice so far.

Unless you have a dropdown for "wants a man" "wants a woman" "wants
noone" "wants a dog" or whatever
