from [1] i learned that (a) debian people are wonderful, and that (b)
/usr/share/man/man8/tc-htb.8.gz is in fact provided by the iproute
package.

correct me if i am wrong, but that suggests that the HTB queuing
discipline *should* be supported by iproute's tc binary (it's not in
the upstream version, it requires a patch). but:
embryo:~# /sbin/tc qdisc add dev ppp0 root handle 1: htb default 99
Unknown qdisc "htb", hence option "default" is unparsable
it's not. there's also wishlist bug #133381, which i fully support.
nevertheless, please explain just why tc-htb(8) is a manpage if htb is
not supported by tc?
i'd rather you not delete the manpage but include the patch in
iproute!
