You need to lookup a few words in the dictionary. Namely:
tact. Diplomacy. Abrasiveness. I am not being the former too, and am
probably the last. As was the comment that sparked this sub thread.
The way to change things is not clever one upmanship, or
haranguing people on the mailing list when they slip into leaving the
most common qualifier for the kernel for debian systems. The way to
change this is make the Debian HURD/BSD better, as you are doing, and
let the change comes as it will, in due time.
If the kernel post had been less abrasive, I would probably
have been on the side of the angels, rather than irritating potential
supporters away.

THE LESSER-KNOWN PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES #2: RENE Named after the
famous French philosopher and mathematician Rene DesCartes, RENE is a
language used for artificial intelligence. The language is being
developed at the Chicago Center of Machine Politics and Programming
under a grant from the Jane Byrne Victory Fund. A spokesman
described the language as "Just as great as dis [sic] city of ours."
The center is very pleased with progress to date. They say they have
almost succeeded in getting a VAX to think. However, sources inside
the organization say that each time the machine fails to think it
ceases to exist.
