I'm not sure. There is a lot of architecture dependant code in
mit-scheme. I believe it even has a native compiler and supports
running byte-compiled code with a VM. On the Scheme page at MIT they
make it clear that the only Linux arch that is supported is i386 -- I
didn't really dig to see what would be involved in porting it.
I would think that at least the interpreter could be running pretty
easily...
