I have a small collection of Debian-specific utilities which have been
looking for a home. I do not want to package them separately, as they are
very small and belong in a collection. debianutils seemed like the right
place, but from looking at its bug list, which includes several submissions
of new tools, I didn't bother submitting them.

At that time, I was told that the maintainer was still out there, and still
had claim to the package, though he was not able to give it proper
attention.

In short, I am also interested in improving this package, or if that is not
feasible, to create a new package with precisely the same purpose but a
different name (and perhaps even including all of the current contents of
debianutils).
