i like full block. i beleive it is cleaner, and easier to read.
this means that every single line starts right at the leftmost column.
to address, from address, salutation, greeting, paragraphs, everything.

there are varied styles, and people will use the one that is best for
the situation. i find full block to be the best for every situation
(except maybe code :)

modified block requires that some stuff not be on the left. since i can
never remember what that stuff is supposed to be, i never use it (too
confusing).

then of course semi modified block has those little paragraph
indentions, complete with blank lines between the paragraphs. but it
requires that same strange stuff to not be on the left.

everyone can be happy, just pick the style you like, and go with it.
that's the great thing about standards: there are so many to choose
from!
