Hello there, i've sent an announcement of GS-CJK a few weeks ago with test packages prepared, which happened to come to light that it is broken :=( i'm terribly sorry, testers. the fixed packages are put at: deb http://arashi.debian.or.jp/~take/defoma ./ 1. please apt-get following packages from there. defoma defoma-gs gsfonts gs-cjk-resource-6.0 (for gs-aladdin 6.0x) gs-cjk-resource-6.5 (for gs-aladdin 6.5x) ja: cmap-adobe-japan1 & ttf-xtt-wadalab-gothic, ttf-xtt-watanabe-mincho zh-CN: cmap-adobe-gb1 & ttf-arphic-gkai00mp zh-TW: cmap-adobe-big5 & ttf-arphic-bkai00mp 2. just wait for configuration done. Defoma automatically configures fonts. Available Ja fonts will be: WadaLabGothic-Regular WatanabeMincho-Regular Available CN fonts will be: GBZenKai-Medium Available TW fonts will be: ZenKai-Medium In addition, Ryumin-Light (ja), GothicBBB-Medium (ja), Song-Medum-GB-H (CN), MOESung-Regular-ETen-B5-H (TW) fonts are substituted for convenience. You will see a ps file of ja/cn/tw version of www.debian.org generated by 'print to a file' of netscape can be correctly drawn by ghostscript if netscape-(ja|zh)-resource is installed. 3. If you want to use CJK fonts in Abiword, please apt-get defoma-abiword and defoma-ps. xfonts-arphic-[gb]kai00mp is also needed. defoma-abiword contains just a simple script using Defoma framework. You will see ZenKai, GBZenKai, WadaLabGothic or WatanabeMincho appears in the font-selection menu. 4. If you want to use CJK fonts (and possibly all available PostScript fonts) in tgif, please apt-get tgif (and maybe gsfonts-other) from there. These two packages (and gsfonts package put there) are Defoma test version. gsfonts-x11 is also needed. You will see almost all the fonts included in gsfonts and gsfonts-other, and CJK fonts appear in the font-selection menu. Defoma can especially benefit PostScript outputting applications like tgif and abiword in the mentioned manner, and any application that needs font configuration.
