Welcome to unstable.
The available database is corrupted. You could try replacing
/var/lib/dpkg/available with /var/lib/dpkg/available-old.
(I think "dselect update" should recreate the available database
from scratch)
(also, if you have an up-to-date dpkg, you might want to save the
available database as evidence and file a bug against dpkg..)
