the tar version 1.13.25-1 which got into testing last night conflicts
with cpio lower than 2.4.2-38, which is still in testing. updated cpio
is already in unstable, but a build failure on hppa prevents form
installing into testing.
Either install cpio from unstable, if available for your arch or
reinstall tar 1.13.22-1 and put it on hold until newer cpio gets into
testing
