Software that can't be packaged

Hello,
i am writing about
http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/unable-to-package
page, which provides too little information
i.e. 'courtney - license too restrictive' - there is no pointer to
the mentioned licence, so there is no way for anyone to check if it's still
true.
Same goes for mplayer which i'm actually interested in - 'license and patent issues', it does not mention what actually are those issues, and because of this, they cannot be fixed.

Or maybe I shouldn't post this here but file a bug against www instead?
