I don't see why it's so hard to figure out what's it about.

This is hardly new behaviour, it's been like this for a few years.

Those mails are Bcc:ed to debian-bugs-closed AFAIR, this way it's obvious
from one message what the bug was about. Santiago's reason looks valid,
too :)
