Maybe just a mistake? Ask him first if he knew that you didn't get this
message at all. If closing a unreproducible bug is correct is another
question. Maybe leaving it open a bit longer, e.g. for a few month and then
closing it is the best idea because letting it open forever doesn't make
sense, even more, if the maintainer is thinking the original submitter
got uninterested and doesn't reply any more.
