Personally, I'd leave the bug for at least a few months, and at least
a few new versions of the package. If, in that time, no new data has
accumulated (i.e. other people saying 'this happens to me too') and
the current submitter can't reproduce it with the new version, I'd
probably close it.
I'd certainly downgrade it if, in my opinion, it didn't make the
package unsuitable for release.
