LSB Specification Update

After the LSB 1.0 specification was released a few people on this list
mentioned that they would like to be kept to up to date with impending
future releases. There is ongoing work being done for a 1.0.1 release
which will primarily be editorial changes (eg typos, grammatical
errors) and the fixing of a few very obvious errors.

Both the 1.0 version of the specification and daily snapshots of the
version in CVS are available in various formats at:

http://www.linuxbase.org/spec

The changes being made are mainly in response to bug reports on the
SourceForge site. You can submit new ones at:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/lsb

Another thing which may be of interest to developers is a database of
results from LSB tests (including FHS testing) run on various Linux
distributions including Debian available at:

http://www.freestandards.org/lsb/test/results

The database is also being used by test LSB test team to also help
identify problems with the test suites and the specification, so a
failure does not necessarily mean a problem with the distribution.

Regards,

Chris.
