Actually it's not.

~/dbg$ diff env.before env.after 
17c17
< LINES=27
---
> LINES=64218
24c24
< COLUMNS=169
---
> COLUMNS=49151

Obviously purity shouldn't change these values.
And ls propably shouldn't act like this when run in insane enviroment?
