Same thing here. What did clear it up for me, however, was removing the
fontpath that pointed to a font server etc in the XF86Config. The weird
thing is that I don't use a font server, I just specify the font paths
directly, nor do I run a font server, so the Xserver shouldn't have
picked up *anything* from that path and simply discarded it.
