Reread what I said, then tell me why auto-pgp going into non-us/main would
be nonsensical at the time of initial packaging.  Perhaps auto-pgp's
maintainer was supposed to be a time traveller?

Nor in fact does it say that contrib is not a part of Debian.

Yes, it must go into either contrib or non-US/main, depending on the
wishes of the packager.  Either will do nicely.
