tis true that if somebody wants something sooner they may as well do it themselves
would be a good idea, though, to fix these bugs or deal with them in some other way (reassign them, whatever)... the sooner mozilla gets into testing, the more likely it is to end up in the release. we want that. i want my galeon packages in the release. it would be nice if skipstone ended up there too.
i wonder how many packages are in unstable now that may not get into the next release because of some open bugs or porting problems which could very easily be reassigned, dealt with, or just closed if they are not valid. i wonder whether it wouldn't be a good idea to make some sort of announcement that will get most debian developers' attention saying "hey, you might want your package to end up in the next stable release... here's where you can find information on making sure this happens" or something. or not. or perhaps this has been posted but i wasn't paying attention. just a thought.
