Hmmm, there must be something more:
$ echo -e "^[[31m _,met\$\$\$\$\$gg."
^[[31m _,met$$$$$gg.
$ /bin/echo -e "^[[31m _,met\$\$\$\$\$gg."
^[[31m _,met$$$$$gg.
$ echo $TERM
xterm
Same thing on the console. I know "^[" represents an escape character
but all I have is '^' followed by '['. I doubt echo supposed to pick up
on it and convert it to an escape character. I also tried on the console
(TERM=linux) but same thing there.
Bouuuh, I want nice pictures tooo ;-)
Btw, the standard black and white version is already very impressive.
