Could anyone with one of these alleged scripts please step forward?  I
find it difficult to believe there is one let alone zillions.  That whole
argument smells like FUD to me.

Even if there are some, I suspect the pain of them changing their scripts
would be much less than the annoyance caused to many of our users by not
having a commonly used program on the default path.
