Sure that's possible, but does it bring my package back?

Okay, I checked with the developers reference and found this:

serious 
     is a severe violation of Debian policy (that is, it violates a "must"
     or "required" directive), or, in the package maintainer's opinion, makes the
     package unsuitable for release. 

The bug I got mentions a missing package in the Build-Depends. I have yet to
check policy to see if this is a "must" or "required" directive,
