Joey, all you've had to do was say "Hi, please stick the existing
debconf in testing", as opposed to "I don't want the current debconf in
testing yet".

You _HAVE_ to be kidding. Joey, there hasn't been a debconf suitable for
testing ever since testing's existed: initially it depended on perl 5.6,
then it conflicted with apt, now it's a whole new thorougly redesigned
system.
