update excuses: what does "but foo is screwed anyway"?
Hi,
* out of date on arm: libwings-dev, libwmaker0-dev, wmaker (from
0.61.1-4) (but arm is screwed anyway)
what does that mean? In particular, what relation does that bear with
the installability (or lack of it) of a package into testing?
Side issue: can we please, please, please have a query interface
similar to that of packages.d.o for update excuses? That is,
whatever.d.o/wmaker -> whatever-else.d.o/foo/wmaker.html?
Another side issue: what does:
* foo-package uploaded XX days ago, out of date by YY days!
* valid candidate (will be installed unless it's dependent upon
other buggy pkgs)
mean? In particular, if it's a valid candidate, why hasn't it been
installed already? In the "explanation", the closest I can find is:
> 4. It then collects the source packages that pass 3, and tries
> installing them in various combinations to see if the number of
> uninstallable packages in "testing" either drops or remains the same.
> If so, they're in. If not, they're not.
But I'm still left in the dark as to why the package hasn't been
installed yet. That is to say, if there's a reason for this, is there
anyway to find it out?
