Classification of packages (was: Misclassification of packages; "libs" and "doc" sections)
Pursuant to the discussion under this subject heading a few
weeks ago ...
Now that package pools are up and running it becomes more
feasible to replace "Section:" with a more useful classification
scheme for packages. The "trove" classification scheme
at SourceForge looks like a good model. It has recently
been copied, I notice, by Freshmeat ][ with one difference:
the "sociology" topic is absent.
