Most hardware RAID systems lack proper support for Linux and will require
various hacks such as booting into a different OS to change disks etc.
Software RAID is popular on Suns because there are many problems that
hardware RAID does not solve. One of which is the situation where a SCSI
cable fails (the most common problem I have seen with Sun storage).
