He's a Norwegian. He was not jailed - however, he was interrogated at
the police station, and his computer equipment was confiscated. This
really didn't have _anything_ to with any American laws. He was
interrogated because he might have broken Norwegian law - breaking a
crypto system and then distributing one's findings might not be
legal, even though it's legal to crack the system for one's own use.
