More to the point, the maintainer of a mentored package will be listed
as the true maintainer if the mentor uploads the package without
changing the control file.  (You can upload this way either by putting
an NMU entry in the changelog or with the -m option to the build
script of your choice [debuild, dpkg-buildpackage, whatever].)
