Well, I've encoded a few cds with it and (like someone else posted)
have been really happy with the quality of the audio.  It's at least
as good as my mp3s, and it's an open standard.  It is a lot slower,
however. (to encode)

just a note, abcde lets you specify the file/dir format of the ripped
audio. (and playlist files)
